Rivian, Alex & Baby Boy Ross

My dear friends (and family!) are expecting a baby boy!  My sister-in-law, Rivian, is pregnant with her first little kiddo, so I sprung at the chance to shoot some pictures of that bump.  After a little convincing and a big pile of donuts (her only craving), we headed to the park!

I was really cruel. I taunted her with those donuts but I didn't t let her eat them- not just yet!  Instead we headed in to the woods.

Then things got a little silly in her "I don't think you're ready for this belly" shirt. hahahaa!

And I let her eat the donut!

She was pretty happy!

Then we made Alex lug their rocking chair into the field, but I think these shots made it worthwhile.  I love them!

Thanks, Ross family!  I dragged you out to mosquito-infested woods, teased you snacks, took a million pictures of you and you still smiled!

Riv, I don't think I've ever seen you happier, more relaxed, or more beautiful (it's not fair, really).  You were obviously made for this and I'm so honored to have been able to capture this time in your life.  I can't wait to meet that sweet little guy you've been baking & spoil him rotten! <3

Kira + Paul

Kira and Paul have been together since they were in their teens, been married for more than a decade, and have two super cute kiddos.  So, on their eleventh anniversary they decided to get married (again)!

When I got to St. Berchmans Church in Logan Square, the first thing I saw was this amazing 1940 Cadillac Imperial. It was absolutely perfect for Kira & Paul's vintage-themed wedding.

Inside, the ladies were putting on the finishing touches...

And the guys were ready and waiting.

The boys came to check on her before showtime.

And the ceremony began!

They faced their loved ones..

 said their vows...

and exchanged rings.

With a kiss they were husband and wife!

And we were off to the reception!

When we arrived at the Carlton of Oak Park, we took a few shots before heading in.

Kira did a few touch ups...

and was ready to party!

Cocktail hour was in the lounge.

The reception was moved into the hall, where the bride and groom were introduced.

The best man toasted the happy couple.

And then it was party time!

Meanwhile, Alex was manning the "photo booth" in the other room...

What an awesome night!  Congrats Kira & Paul!!!
